This is an elegant antique French clock from the famous clock maker A.D Mougin
It has a bronze statue on top, signed Racoulet. I am informed that this type of clock was a high end late 1800’s French clock and the bronze is a plated bronze (spelter underneath) and the Racoulet figure atop the clock is a reproduction.
As it was made for the higher end of the market the clock maker was A.D Mougin, a famous quality clock maker who lived/worked in Paris, and it has his star trademark ‘Duex Medailles’ behind the bell.
Last serviced in 2001,
Keeps time very nicely. Very decorative wind up key.
It is a very elaborate clock with beautiful pink marble, it is a used item, I have tried to show photos all round, the milk girl has a few wear/tear scuffs and the clock face has a faint mark down the right side, needs mentioning. But just look at the beauty of this clock, certainly a statement piece on any piece of furniture
Approx: height 58cm, width 28cm, depth 16.5cm
